Pennsylvania Child Custody Laws
It is always a challenge for both parents when comes to child custody laws. Like every state, Pennsylvania child custody laws differ. I myself live in Pennsylvanina and have been involved in trying to get custody of my 15 year old daughter.
When you are dealing with Pennsylvania child custody laws be sure you know what is ahead. When I first started going through this whole process I knew nothing. I spent alot of money on attorney’s fees.
One thing I found out was that whoever has physical custody of the child is the one that is going to get the child support payments. It doesn’t matter if you have joint legal custody. Whichever parent or grandparent the child is physically living with is the one that is going to get the custody payments.
You can offset some of this expense by having your child or children stay with you for a couple of days during the week, a week or two in the summer or even the whole summer. By doing this your payments will be rated accordingly. I have my daughter stay with me in the summer which eliminates me having to pay 3 months of child support to her mother. Most of all I just want to spend time with her. It really irks me too because I know her mother is using the money to pay rent and not on my daughter.
That is just one thing I learned. My situation did take a turn. My daughters mother moved to florida. I have to work all kinds of crazy hours. So I was unable to keep an eye on her. So my only choice was to let her go with her mother.
I could have won custody of my daughter out right by following certain strategies and suggestions. You know how defiant teenagers can be and I couldn’t watch her and keep her in check while I am working.
The strategies and advice I used can be found here for Pennsylvania child custody laws and all the other states too. If you need help, use what I used. It works and I would recommend it.
